The adoption process will take about 12-18 months once I get the home study completed - that's the first big step. The cost will be about $12k total, but the home study itself is $2500. My first goal is to get enough money together to get that part completed so the clock will begin ticking down. I am currently looking for a part-time job so that I can start saving for the next costs. I am also hosting a Fundraiser/Cookout in a few weeks to hopefully raise a little bit to put towards the home study. (It's also a good excuse to get friends I never get to see together and hang out and enjoy the fall weather!) The information is below and all are invited! It's going to be a fun time and I am excited to share this journey with people I love. Hopefully things will get going and I will be able to update with more exciting information soon.

Left at stop light (Kingston Springs Rd.). Past the elementary school (left) there is a log cabin builder (right) – turn left directly across from the log cabin builders onto Merry Log.
At top of the mountain, turn left onto Mt. Pleasant. Follow Mt. Pleasant to the 3-way stop (about 1 mile). Turn right onto Simms Heights. Go approx. 1 mile on Simms Heights to Loann Ave (on left). House is first driveway on the right. Park on street or driveway across the street (1359).
